Where do you aspire to be in 5 years? The December Talk About Blog.

December. Coming to the close of 12 fantastic months with the Handmade Division Team.

Such a fantastic group of artists, and friends.

It has been my (Andes Cruz)’s privilege and honour to work with this group, and to promote them.

I am personally handing off the torch of Curating this team, to one of our amazing members, Rickson. I’m very excited to pass the torch, and see what new vision, ideas and energy Rickson will bring to the team.

I hope you will continue to follow and support all these amazing artists on their own blogs, websites, and fanpages. And thank you all for your support for us in our ongoing journey….

Andes Cruz has opened a *new* Etsy shop!! (yay!) It’s a surplus shop for Cabochons and other tasty stones. Check it out here: Andes Cruz Surplus Hurry, before all the best stones are gone! (Note, most stones are not cut by Andes, but are amazing stones she has acquired over time and is looking to have placed into new homes that will love them even more. Amazing stones in  need of TLC.)

Andes Cruz and Nanopod Studio have  committed to Collaborate for an upcoming event – “An exhibition featuring work by pairs of artists who develop, and cooperatively create a set of functional (or nonfunctional) tableware. To be exhibited at Fancy Gallery, Seattle during the SNAG conference 2011.” Read all about it HERE . Good luck on being accepted into the exhibit ladies!

Danielle Miller, Sarah Hood, Colleen Baran are three of the 30 artists chosen to participate in Lark Book’s “Jewelry Design Challenge.” The artists were sent the same box of 10 materials and were to create a piece of jewelry from those materials plus one “wild card” item of our choice. (WOW!!!!) And Danielle Miller‘s work was chose for the book cover! Congrats Danielle, that’s amazing!

Bella Bijou Jewellery can now be found  at Nokomis Clothing in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

Susan Moloney Has blogged about a New Painting, YAY!

Bella Bijou  Too Jewellery has added almost 10 new items to her catalog line. See it HERE.

Alisa Miller will be participating in the 8th Annual Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago this weekend. Find her on the south side of Division just east of Honore.

Metal Emily is jetset to the Netherlands and Belgium for a few weeks. Have fun Emily!

NEDbeads – Nancy taught her very first beading class on Thursday night, and had a wonderful experience.  The students were fantastic, and very supportive.  Having misjudged the timing a bit, the new Second Half of the class will be on Sept. 29th, so she gets to do it again!!!!!  Held in Keene, NH, at New England Bead Exchange.  And hopefully Nancy will be teaching there more in the future. (Yay, Nancy! that’s so awesome!)

It’s the June “Talk About” Blog ~ With the Handmade Division Team
